Everyday Reviews – Nike Maternity Pullover

This Nike Maternity Pullover is a staple in Nike’s maternity line, and for good reason. It has an overlap style in the front that is meant to provide an adjustable fit for your growing bump and if you choose to nurse. You are also able to reverse the sweater to wear it with the opening at the back after pregnancy. It is a relaxed fit with a longer length and comes in several colors.

What I like about it

I really enjoy the fact that you can wear this throughout pregnancy and carry it over into postpartum life and nursing. If you are having your baby in the fall or winter, or will be pregnant during those seasons, I think this is a great addition to your wardrobe! It is lightweight and comfortable – it’s actually made with Nike’s Dri-fit technology so it will keep you cool and dry – except for the baby spit up. 🙂

The length is perfect for leggings, which I lived in after having the baby. The turtleneck is relaxed and cozy. It is a really great layering piece.

What I don’t care for

Although I do think this maternity pullover is great for layering, the fabric is a bit on the thin side. While cozy, it is not particularly warm or thick enough to withstand real cold on its own. However, the looser fit does make it possible to wear a thicker base layer underneath.

On that same note, you will probably need to wear a base layer with this. Because of the open front style, it’s not something that I personally was comfortable wearing out over just a nursing bra. Therefore, to get the full “nursing friendly” effect, your base layer needs to also be nursing friendly!

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, I do really enjoy this sweater and would recommend it to any pregnant or nursing momma. I can definitely see myself wearing this even after my breastfeeding journey is over, which can’t be said for most of my maternity clothes. It is a really great length and weight that makes it comfortable and easy to wear! Many of the colors regularly go on sale, sometimes as much as 40-50% off, making it super affordable as well!

Let me know if you have any questions – hope this was helpful!

Until next time,

Jannette
