February is here and Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! And whether you are single or in a relationship, I think we can all agree that getting into the “festivities” of a holiday really helps break up the covid fatigue we are all experiencing. Holidays can be a source of great fun and something to look forward to if we allow ourselves to get into it.
Growing up, my mom always made every holiday and birthday feel special, even with the smallest gestures. They were always acknowledged and made meaningful, and I loved it. Now that I’m a mom, I hope I can do the same for my family as well!

Let’s be real people, wasn’t the best part of Valentine’s day the night out at a nice restaurant?! Pre-covid- my husband and I loved eating out and trying new restaurants, and that did not change after having Emma. We took our baby everywhere with us, and she loved being around people and examining all the unique restaurant decor. But because our family is being very cautious, and eating outdoors is not that easy this time of year, we are getting the next best thing- takeout! Here are a few Chicago favs:
