Those that know me know that I wear pretty minimal/natural makeup on an everyday basis. Working from home for most of the year, and only going out in public with a mask on, has simplified my makeup routine even more. These days I use a total of 4 products: 1. concealer, 2. powder to set my concealer, 3. eyebrow pencil, and 4. mascara. Literally, that is it. Oh, and chapstick.
You may be in the same boat and less inclined to purchase makeup right now. So I have rounded up 6 products from Sephora that you will actually use right now, even if your makeup game is on pause. These are products that I love, have used throughout quarantine, and will continue to use!
Kate Somerville – Exfolikate intensive exfoliating treatment : A powerful exfoliater that really polishes your skin and makes it feel clean. I use this one or two times a week and I have seen an improvement in my skin and pores. The best part is that it doesn’t leave your skin feeling overly dry.
Kate Somerville Retinol Firming Eye Cream : This is the first eye cream that I have used where I actually felt and saw an improvement in my under eye area. I did not find the formula to be too harsh, and a little goes a long way.
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask : LOVE LOVE LOVE. Such a treat! I really enjoy putting this on before I go to bed, and even in the morning during my skincare routine. It leaves your lips feeling nice and moisturized, and smells awesome. And, there are a ton of scents or “flavors” – I have the original berry, but want to try the apple lime next!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream : Rich and luxurious, this moisturizer is anti-aging with hyaluronic acid. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and plump! I will say… it does have somewhat of a grandma scent which I know will be a turn off to some. But it does not linger, so it doesn’t bother me.
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum : I’ve been using this for at least 6 months now, and I have to admit, I didn’t notice a drastic difference in my skin right away. I stopped using it for a period of time (sometimes you just get lazy, you know?) and thats when I started to see the difference in my skin- when NOT using it. Overall, it has improved and evened up my skin tone and texture. I have noticed a brightness when regularly using it, and it has a ton of great anti-aging ingredients. Plus, it is vegan and cruelty-free!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette : The last item is actually a makeup item, but one of the few that I have continued to use throughout quarantine. With three pans of Hourglass’s signature ambient light powders, it is a a simple palette that every girl can use – regardless of your makeup routine. I use one powder to set my concealer, there is a subtle highlight shade, and a shimmery bronzer which I like to use as eye shadow. All three powders have a subtle luminous glow and apply beautifully. The palette is versatile and worth the price tag in my opinion. And the fact that you can get it on sale during this time is awesome!
Are you shopping the sale? What’s on your wish list?
Until next time,
