My Spanx leather leggings have been hanging out in my closet patiently waiting on cooler temps and they are finally here! So needless to say, I pulled them out at the first opportunity and paired them with a classic white button up. Throw in my go-to low bun and you have my fall uniform. Simple, and so easy to pair with any style coat.
So let’s talk about these leggings. I was a bit nervous about how they would look… but I like them a lot more than I thought I would. They are super thick, not too shiny, and suck you in just the right amount. They also come in petite sizes which is so nice for us shorties! No more bunching up at the ankle, it’s great. I sized up to the extra large, and from what I have heard from others who have purchased these, that is pretty standard across the board. They are also very high waisted – which I am all about these days. My only pain point with these, as with a lot of other leggings, is that they do sometimes roll down at the waist. I know a lot of people have commented that these stay put but I think my body type is just prone to this issue, especially because I have thicker midsection. Even still, I don’t think that it’s a deal breaker for me because they are very comfortable overall. Just keep that in mind if you have a similar body type to me!
I also just need to highlight these earrings. How cute are they?! I love the olive color for fall and the detail is awesome. They are made of clay so they are SUPER lightweight, I forget I even have them on. I bought them from a Latina-owned small business Made with Love, AM. These are my first pair from her, and they will not be my last.
They also held up really well to the Chicago elements! It was VERY windy this day – that hard to walk against type of wind, and the earrings held on tight. I was honestly shocked because they feel so light and somewhat fragile. But they are pretty sturdy. I would definitely recommend checking out her shop – she has so many great styles, many of which are inspired by her heritage. They are beautiful! Her popular styles sell out fast so keep an eye out for her restock dates, which she shared on Instagram and her site!
I know I will be wearing both of these pieces all fall and winter long. Especially with a basic white button up, and my favorite black flat booties. Comfortable, put together, and easy to chase a toddler in!
What are your go-to pieces this fall? I’d love to hear from you!
Until next time,
Jannette
As silly as it sounds, choosing a diaper bag can actually be kind of hard…
