As silly as it sounds, choosing a diaper bag can actually be kind of hard! There are so many options out there. Not to mention the fact that literally anything can be used as a “diaper bag.” An old backpack, your favorite tote, or most loved gym bag. For us, it was important to have a bag that both my husband and I could carry and feel comfortable. For that reason, we knew it had to be a backpack. So we bought the Dagne Dover Indi Diaper Backpack, and I am reviewing it for you all today!
Before we get into the review, let me just start by saying – we have been Dagne Dover fans for a few years. I first bought their Signature Tote back in 2016 when I moved back to Chicago to start my legal career. Classic, durable, and perfect for work- I still use it! We both also have their Landon Carryall, which we love for travel and shorter overnight trips. I used my Landon Carryall as my hospital bag when I had Emma!
When I saw that Dagne Dover released a diaper backpack I knew it was going to be good, and that we had to try it. The best part about the bag, in my opinion, is the fact that it doesn’t look like a diaper bag at all and can actually be functional as a backpack for other uses. It’s a bag that we can use for years to come.
A few things I will say before getting into all the stuff I love about the bag… it is pricey ($195 USD). Spending close to $200 on a diaper bag is a bit ridiculous- I know. Prior to this bag we had a bag from Amazon that has great reviews and actually worked really well for us, for a fraction of the price. However, there a few key features that make the difference for us, and they may for you as well, depending on your lifestyle.
Another thing to mention is that there is no insulated pocket or section for multiple bottles in this bag. This is something we used frequently in the first diaper bag we had when Emma was younger and exclusively drinking formula/breastmilk. Depending on your situation, this may not be too big of a deal but it is the one thing I wish Dagne Dover would have incorporated. However, now that Emma is older and no longer drinking from a bottle, this isn’t really too big of a deal.
Nevertheless, what makes this bag so special are its convenient and innovative features. (Picture above is from Dagne Dover.)
Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and will continue to be loyal Dagne Dover fans! Have any of you tried this or any other Dagne Dover styles? How did you like them?
Until next time,
Jannette
