The Everyday Suit.

Hi there!

Welcome to The Everyday Suit – my little corner of the internet! This blog is truly a passion project, one that I have been wanting to start for years, and the time has finally come!

So pour yourself a strong cup of coffee and stay a while. For my first post I am answering some basic questions to set the stage for what’s to come.

Why start a blog?

My journey to actually hitting “publish” is a long one, but I finally decided to take the plunge after giving birth to my baby girl. Being the first of my close friends to have a baby, I found myself asking a lot of questions with no one who could really help answer them. I found a small community online and on social media that really helped me navigate this new period in my life. I found a bunch of tips and tricks, as well as baby products that changed the game for my little family. It really inspired me to finally get this blog started. I love the idea of building a community on a platform that allows you to share your experiences, as well as learn from others.

What will you be writing about and sharing?

I’ll be posting primarily about style, motherhood, and career- with a dash of beauty and travel. 

Why “The Everyday Suit”?

I first heard the term “Suit” as a reference to an executive or businessman. “Suits” are a group of high ranking men thriving in the corporate world. Well, the everyday suit, the modern day suit, is most definitely a woman. She is strong, talented, and ambitious. She can be a mom, she can be a woman of color, she can be all of this and more.

What do you do for a living?

I’m an attorney who works in a corporate setting. I love my job, and it definitely keeps me on my toes! I also work with an all female team of lawyers- which is amazing. I get to be surrounded by intelligent and skilled women everyday!
